Mike is the owner and operator of MK Boxing in Woburn. Mike has studied for many years in Traditional Martial Arts including Shotokan, Uechi-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, and Kempo Karate Styles, and has attained his Black Belt Rank in various styles. He has a background in Yoshitsune Combat Jiu Jitsu and was awarded his Black Belt Rank by Soke Michael Depasquale.
Mike Knox is a Certified Boxing Coach through USA Boxing and continues to train in Boxing, and both Japanese and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
He currently teaches classes involving Boxing, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts Striking which involve the use of hands, elbows, knees, and feet. The classes focus on Heavy Bag Work, Focus Mitts, Partner Drills and Conditioning. Available for personal training by appointment only.
Robert trained for many years under the direction of Denis Murphy in Boxing and Kickboxing. He has over 12 years of experience and has an undefeated amateur record.
Robert Jones has a great positive attitude and is very disciplined in his own training.
Since Robert has started at MK Boxing his classes on Wednesdays have become very popular. Robert is a great addition to the team of instructors at MK Boxing.
Justin has been a member and an instructor of MK Boxing for many years. He has trained in Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu.
He teaches a combination of boxing, kickboxing and conditioning when he is covering a class. In his classes you can expect a heavy bag workout in boxing and kickboxing combinations, focus mitt training, partner drills and some ring work.
Herb found jiu jitsu/grappling in 2011 through a friend who was an avid MMA fan. Since then Herb is an active member and contributor to the Harvard Jiu Jitsu Club where he helps teach and also assists with the Annual Harvard Spring Tournament where various college BJJ clubs like BU, Umass-Lowell, Princeton, Umass-Amherst, Colombia, Uconn and Tufts come to showcase their skills.
He has also competed, refereed, score kept, and helped clean up for various BJJ tournaments such as Good Fight, Grappling Industries, and Dragons Lairs.
Joe has trained in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Boxing for over 10 years. He teaches both Muay Thai and Boxing with a heavy focus on pad work, footwork, heavy bags, striking techniques and combinations.
He also enjoys sparring for those interested.
Jim Herman has been with MK Boxing for over 6 years as a member and trainer.
His training regimens focus on boxing fundamentals such as proper defense, footwork, and fighting strategies/approaches.
Jim’s conditioning includes power training to develop strength and speed done in a way that also results in a good cardio workout.
